Throughout Joan’s 30+ years of legal experience, her attention to detail and problem solving skills are what have helped her in assisting clients through various legal issues. She joined the law firm as an associate in 1996 and she joined John F. Morreale as partner in 2009.
Her current focus of real estate law and relocation law, allow her to work both locally and nationally with her clients. As a native to the Chicago-land area, she enjoys working with local retail buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of real estate.
As a Certified Relocation Professional and Global Mobility Specialist, Joan works with other relocation professionals to provide legal support to individual transferring employees, relocation services companies, and various relocation trade associations. Joan serves on the Worldwide ERC®’s Government Affairs Committee, as well as being the chairperson of the Real Estate and Mortgage Forum, and a member of the Tax and Regulatory/Compliance Forums. Joan is also a member of the Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago.
Joan provides legal services for addressing issues that arise throughout the relocation process. This often entails “troubleshooting” last minute closing problems, as well as title clearance, including divorce related and short sale concerns, and post closing problems.
